American | Big Mac Inspired Burgers

Two all beef patties, special sauce, lettuce, cheese, pickles, onions, on a sesame seed bun! I've never actually had a Big Mac, yet I still remember the jingle from 1975. These were really good, Mark and I attacked them like a pack of wolves.
Yield: 4 servings
Ingredients
1/2 cup mayonnaise
2 tablespoons French dressing
4 teaspoons sweet pickle relish
1/2 teaspoon onion powder
1 teaspoon white vinegar
1 teaspoon sugar
1/8 teaspoon salt
1 white onion, minced
olive oil
iceberg lettuce, sliced into thin strips
1 pound hamburger
salt
freshly ground pepper
8 American cheese slices
sweet pickle relish
4 sesame seed buns
Method
Make Special Sauce: Combine mayonnaise, French dressing, pickle relish, onion powder, white vinegar, sugar and salt in a small bowl; set aside. (You'll have sauce leftover.)
Lightly sauté onions in olive oil. Season with a little salt. Set aside.
Make 4 patties, 4 ounces each. Season with salt and pepper.
Lightly toast buns on a griddle.
Cook patties on griddle. About 3 to 4 minutes per side.
Put burger together -> bottom bun, special sauce, onions, lettuce, beef patty, 2 cheese slices, relish, top bun. Enjoy!
