Vegan | Hanuman Smoothievegan

I discovered this delicious smoothie at Breathe of Los Gatos. Super love it. Banana tip: Peel, cut in half, and freeze your bananas ahead of time. You can find Warrior Food Extreme Vanilla Plus at Whole Foods or substitute another vegan protein powder. Raw cocoa powder is also available at Whole Foods.

Revision: Dr Oz came out with a very similar smoothie, so I took his idea of adding flaxseed oil to this one. Also dropped the "raw" out of the ingredients.

Yield: 1 12-ounce servings

Hanuman smoothie


1/2 frozen banana

1 heaping tablespoon of Warrior Food Extreme Vanilla Plus (or other protein powder)

1 heaping tablespoon cocoa or cacao powder (I like Divine Organics brand)

1 heaping tablespoon almond butter

1 tablespoon flaxseed oil

8 ounces almond milk



Blend all ingredients in Vita-Mix or blender and serve.
